Background

 The background pf this journal is based on research conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic which requires lectures to be carried out online, requiring innovation to create a learning process effective. The online learning process is by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT).

Purpose

The purpose of this journal is to examine what learning innovations should be done in order to carry out an effective learning process.

Research methods

The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data sources obtained from primary data sources both from interviews with lecturers and interviews with students, as well as secondary data sources from books, journals and other reference sources.

Research result

The results showed that the learning innovation for the employee class included at least three aspects, namely:

-First, the preparation of material that is more based on developments in contextual issues.

-Second, the main learning media, namely Google Class, is supported by other digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Zoom.

-Third, the flexibility of interaction in learning that is not bound to time as face-to-face learning.

Conclusion

Learning innovations carried out at STIA Cimahi for employee classes include at least three things, namely:

-First, the preparation of material that is more based on development issues

contextual, so it is expected that there is a correlation between work and lectures.

-Second, the main learning media, namely Google Class, is supported by other digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Zoom or even SMS / Phone.

-Third, the flexibility of interaction in learning that is not tied to time as in face-to-face learning which will facilitate interaction between educators and students.

This is done in order to optimize the online learning process so that it can achieve predetermined learning goals.

The reasons for choosing this journal:

Because this journal is very relevant to the current conditions of education, with the Covid-19 pandemic, all learning activities must be at home with an online system or distance learning. other than that the title is interesting to read and find out more about the content.

The idea:

The online learning process is optimized not only by using existing digital media learning platforms such as Google Class and Zoom, Endomo but for other digital media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and so on so that they have many alternative choices to optimize the learning process. That way, both educators and students have a variety of communication media for interaction in the learning process online, as well as institutional support, especially regarding the availability of internet packages for both educators and students so that the learning process is not constrained by limited internet packages
