| Research Methodology | The method to be applied in the implementation of this training is using the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) method and online training using the zoom meeting application. |
| Research Processes | The implementation of PKM activities in the form of English language teaching training for students is carried out in 3 stages of activity. The three stages are preparation, implementation and closing: 1. Preparatory stage: a form of English language teaching training 2. implementation stage: observation, which is done for know in detail about the location of activities and the needs or problems experienced by students. The training starting from basic English such as greeting words (Greeting), how to introduce themselves, then teach them English words that they often use everyday such as introducing school uniforms and other things relate to themselves. Various ways that educators can use to produce fun learning include doing ice breaking when the learning process feels saturated or monotonous, using a variety of teaching methods, creating a relaxed atmosphere. |
| Research Results | From the results of the study it can be concluded that the community service program targeting students of SMP Swastika Kapal, Kapal village, Mengwi Badung, Bali. District has been running well and the results have been able to increase the knowledge and abilities of partners which in fact students speak English and their interest in learning English also improved. To obtain better results, we must carry out the application of training and teaching on an ongoing basis, in order to prepare students who are able to communicate in English, therefore we recommend it to the community. Especially parents of students to facilitate their children to attend trainings in the form of teaching English. |
| Research Advantages | The advantage is that the implementation of community service activities (which are carried out annually as the implementation of the Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi concerning community service) aims to help deal with the problems faced and overcome them through developing communication skills using English. |
| Research Disadvantages | The difficulty often faced by students is in their pronunciation skills. The weakness of this research is online.
The atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic is a major problem in teaching
implementation because learning is carried out online and this is a new challenge
for students and educators. Therefore, to increase interest in learning for students in learning, researchers designed the best possible so that students do not feel bored in participating in learning though online. |
